I am not a regular vitamin taker. I mean I try to and I know it is important but I often forget to take them. My Doctor has said she wants me to take a multivitamin and extra vitamin D. I often forget to take them so it goes in spurts. I am remembering again lately. This lead me to think about the quality of vitamins I am taking and do a little research on differences or how to pick good vitamins. What I found out is that there are big differences in vitamin quality, you get what you pay for. The label on the vitamin bottle is not necessarily an accurate representation of what is inside of the bottle. There can be more or less of a particular vitamin than what the label says. So how do you know you are getting your money’s worth? It is hard to know. Some may do more harm than good actually.
I went to the Mayo Clinic site to see what they say and they say that your best bet is to eat a well balanced diet and discuss the issue with your Doctor. Probably wise advice.
